Suzanne - Creative Content
About. The missing word. When it comes to your so About.

The missing word. When it comes to your social media, your website, your marketing, this is what you have to remember.
It should be about your customers, your audience.
It should be about what your products, skills or services can do for them. Not just about you.

Sell the sizzle, not the sausage.
Look over your most recent posts, how many of them address a particular need or concern that your ideal customers have? How many are just promoting a product without making that connection?

That's not to say you shouldn't sell, of course you should - BUT, you need to lead with the benefits, the reasons why that item or service would be of specific interest to the person/people you want to sell to. What can you say that they can't resist or inspires their curiosity and makes them want to know more?

You understand your products and services best, so before hitting send on your next post, ask yourself why your ideal customers would want or need it and start from there.

If you would like help defining your messaging or developing a Content Strategy - get in touch. I offer 1:1 sessions to guide you through the process or a full strategy service so you can effortlessly produce creative content that connects.

Has remote working got you feeling like part of th Has remote working got you feeling like part of the furniture?

Never one for ironing, (my then toddler asked in amazement 'Ooh! What's that Mummy?' when she first saw one), I say all you need is a stiff breeze.

Same goes for sailing ships and frazzled homeschool Mums when they've been cooped up too long.

Although admittedly Storm Christoph is currently making that ironing pile look good... 💨🍃

Overcome by the need to post on social media? It's Overcome by the need to post on social media? It's not about writing your own epic novel, it's about being targeted in what you say and who you say it to.

If you're posting and posting but not seeing results, it's time to pause, shake it off and go back to the basics. Here are 5 quick step strategy questions to help you focus and get back on track;

⭐ Social Goal - What results are you expecting?

⭐ Audience - Who are you specifically trying to talk to?

⭐ Influencers - Where can you find them already online?

⭐ Content - What Content have you been sharing? Are you shouting about yourself and your business or positioning yourself as an expert in your field?

⭐ Call to Action - Are you being clear in what you want your audience to do?

I'm often asked, 'What should I post on my channels?' and as awful as it is to answer a question with a questions, my answer is always 'Do you have a Strategy?'
Start with your goal, your objective and work back. Be very clear on who you want to speak to and focus on connecting and engaging with them wherever they hang out online.
Search for related accounts (Influencers) already engaging with that audience and join those conversations. Use your audience's language and answer their questions.
Repurpose those questions along with your FAQs as material for your own posts - if you have your targeting right, more of your audience will undoubtedly want to know the same things.
Keep it manageable and consistent. If you can only create 3 posts a week 3, do that - but stick to it. Work out a routine that works for you. Sales/Product Post, Common questions, Share a How-to - whatever mix works for your audience and that you know you can produce regularly.
Paring it back to basics will help beat the overwhelm and leave you with Content you can spread out and schedule over time.

Be kinder to yourself, stop wasting effort and focus on the core messages and actions that will help you reach your goal.
